A panel of 60 judges, including technicians, cheese masters, store managers, bloggers, food journalists, chefs, purchasing managers of large stores and restaurant managers, have been in charge of blind tasting all the cheeses admitted to the competition. contest.

Artisanal cheeses represent 75%, so it can be considered the benchmark cheese championship in our country in quantity and variety.

Spain has a rich cheese heritage, which is reflected in more than 200 varieties spread throughout the country. In addition to those recognized as cheeses of differentiated quality (27 with Protected Designation of Origin and 2 with Protected Geographical Indication), we must add more than fifty traditional cheeses and many others of new creation, which value the know-how of our cheese makers and the manifest professionalization of the sector.
